The “Fracture” Fortnite live event has been finally revealed by Epic Games. The video game publisher released the first-ever teaser for the event, revealing some very important information regarding it.
It turns out that the upcoming live event will be the longest live event in the history of the video game. It will last for 40 minutes and players will also be able to earn free rewards before it.
Furthermore, there is a chance that the downtime will not last for a long time.
Here is everything we know about the live event so far.
Epic Games to release a 40-minute Fortnite live event
The first teaser for the “Fracture” live event shows a lot of Chrome tornadoes taking over the island. Due to this, there is a good chance that Epic Games will completely destroy the map, which wouldn’t be surprising.
The teaser also shows Bytes, who secretly works for The Nothing. Due to this, Bytes could end up bringing The Last Reality to the island and completely destroying it.
You can see the teaser below.

The playlist for the live event will open 30 minutes before it starts, meaning that players will be able to join it on Saturday, December 3, at 3:30 PM Eastern Time.
However, it’s also surprising that Epic Games announced that the event will last for 40 minutes. Here is what the game developer posted on the official blog:
The “Fracture” playlist will open up 30 minutes prior, so you can jump in before the event starts. You can also join in-progress until 4:40 PM ET!
Epic Games
This is the first time that players will be able to join a live event that is already in progress. Furthermore, the longest Fortnite live event lasted for just under 15 minutes, which means that Epic has prepared something huge.

In addition to all of this, there will be a free reward before Chapter 4. Everyone who logs in between December 2 at 9 AM ET to December 4 at 2:45 AM ET will receive the Toasty Roast emote.
This also indicates that Fortnite servers will return around 2 AM Eastern Time.
