Epic Games has big plans for the future of Fortnite. The popular video game has been going strong for more than five years, breaking numerous records and staying relevant despite having tough competitors.
Besides being one of the most entertaining games, Fortnite is also very profitable. Thanks to it, Epic Games is worth more than $30 billion in 2022, which is impressive.
The development team has done a fantastic job with Fortnite Chapter 4. However, there are several game-changing features that will be released to the game, and Epic has teased players with some of them.
Fortnite will get a skin creator in the future
Fortnite will soon receive the Creative 2.0 game mode. This mode will completely change the game and will make it much more popular. Creative 2.0 will allow players to add their own 3D models, animations, scripts, and more.
When this upgrade comes out, it won’t be surprising if players recreate the first three chapters of Fortnite Battle Royale on their own. Considering all the tools they will get, this will be a possibility.
However, Tim Sweeney, founder and CEO of Epic Games, also revealed that Fortnite players will be able to create their own skins at some point. Sweeney revealed this on his Twitter account.
When he was asked if a skin creator will be a possibility with Fortnite Creative 2.0, the Epic Games CEO replied affirmatively. Unfortunately, he cannot provide players with the exact release date of this feature.
Eventually but not very soon.— Tim Sweeney (@TimSweeneyEpic) December 11, 2022
As you can see in the tweet above, Sweeney clarified that players will be able to eventually make their own custom skins in Fortnite. However, this feature will not be released very soon, which is unfortunate.
Creative 2.0 was supposed to be released with Chapter 4, but Epic Games ended up postponing it until January 2023. While the exact release date hasn’t been revealed yet, the new mode will most likely arrive by Tuesday, January 24.
