Fortnite Developer Hints at Return of Lucky Landing With Latest Trailer

Fortnite Chapter 4 will be released later this week. If everything goes according to plan, Epic Games will release the new season of the popular video game on Sunday, December 4.

There have been numerous leaks regarding the upcoming chapter, but some of them have turned out to be false. However, Epic has also hinted at some of the things that could come with the new chapter, including the return of Lucky Landing.

This location was very popular in Chapter 1. Unfortunately, it was vaulted after “The End” event and hasn’t been seen since then. This article will reveal everything you need to know about its potential return and the hint Epic Games released.

Lucky Landing might return in Fortnite Chapter 4

Three years ago, Epic Games acquired Psyonix and got ownership of Rocket League, another popular video game. Due to this, Epic has released numerous Fortnite x Rocket League collaborations that rewarded players with free cosmetics.

On Friday, November 25, Epic released a trailer for Season 9 of Rocket League. This trailer includes several hints regarding Fortnite Battle Royale, including the potential return of Lucky Landing.

You can watch the trailer below:

As you can see in the trailer, the entire area looks like Lucky Landing. It even has cherry blossom trees, which was the main feature of the popular Fortnite location.

While Rocket League will most likely get a map that looks similar to Lucky Landing, there is one major reason why Fortnite players believe the Chapter 1 location will return in Fortnite Chapter 4.

At the end of the trailer, there is a rift that also shows a fracture. This is an obvious reference to Fortnite rifts and possibly the upcoming live event.

Lucky Landing was first released to Fortnite Battle Royale in Season 3. Inspired by Asian culture, this location was very unique and millions of players loved landing there, despite it being far away from the center of the map.

The popular spot went through some minor changes throughout Chapter 1 and was in the game until the very end of it.

With Chapter 4 coming in less than a week, there is a good chance that Epic Games will bring this place back. No one knows what the map will look like yet, but if Epic decides to fuse maps from the previous chapter, we could see the return of Lucky Landing.
