Epic Games is once again granting free V-Bucks to Fortnite Battle Royale players. This time, the development team made an Item Shop mistake, which is why you may be eligible for the bonus.

Check if you received free V-Bucks in Fortnite
Epic Games announced the Fortnite x Ralph Lauren collaboration in late October 2022. The collaboration added a lot of new cosmetic items, including two skins and an emote.
These cosmetics were released to the Item Shop, but players were able to earn them for free by participating in the exclusive cup. However, Epic Games made a mistake when releasing cosmetics to the Item Shop, which is why players received 200 free V-Bucks
More specifically, Epic accidentally put the price of the Victory Colors emote to 500 V-Bucks. This was not intended as the emote should have been cheaper.
If you’ve purchased the emote, you may be eligible for free V-Bucks. However, it’s important to note that you are eligible for V-Bucks only if you’ve purchased the emote separately.

We’re aware of an issue where the stand-alone price of the Victory Colors Emote was higher than intended. We’ve granted 200 V-bucks to players who purchased the Emote separate from the Polo Stadium Collection Gear Bundle.

If you’ve earned the emote from the tournament or purchased it through the bundle, you are not eligible for free V-Bucks. If, however, you are eligible, you should log in to the game and redeem the bonus.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 will most likely be released on Sunday, December 4. If you plan to purchase the next Battle Pass, you will need to save up to 950 V-Bucks.
While 200 free V-Bucks isn’t a lot, it will help players obtain the next Battle Pass and start Chapter 4 with many new cosmetic items in their locker.
