Fortnite Chapter 4 downtime has begun. After the “Fracture” live event, which lasted for almost an hour, players got a sneak peek at the Chapter 4 map and now have to wait for it to be officially released.
At the moment, millions of players from all around the world are waiting for servers to return. Unfortunately, this will not happen anytime soon as there will be an extended downtime.
This article will reveal everything we know so far about the Fortnite Chapter 4 downtime, including the time when Epic Games will possibly bring servers back.
When will Fortnite Chapter 4 downtime end?
This is the third chapter-ending downtime Fortnite Battle Royale players have had. The first such downtime was the longest as it lasted for a day and a half. It happened right after “The End” event in Season X.
The second time, Epic Games did not make players wait for too long. In the Chapter 2-ending event, the Seven and the loopers flipped the island, revealing the new map and moving to the new island. This downtime lasted for less than a day.

While Epic Games hasn’t confirmed how long the downtime will be, we expect it to return by 4 AM Eastern Time. This is when most of Fortnite updates come out, so the next one may follow suit.
Additionally, Epic has revealed that players are able to obtain the Toasty Roast emote by 2:45 AM Eastern Time. This is when servers will most likely go down completely and the “To Be Continued” screen may disappear.
Due to this information released by Epic Games, we expect servers to be back in less than 12 hours.
If it’s late for you, we suggest you get a good night’s sleep! Once you wake up, Fortnite Chapter 4 should be live and you will be able to enjoy it with your friends.
