There will be no Chapter 3 – Season 5. Instead, the next season of the popular video game will bring a new chapter, a new map, and many other new things.

Fortnite Chapter 4 will be a game-changer
ShiinaBR, one of the most popular Fortnite leakers, has revealed that a new map will come with Fortnite Chapter 4. The new map will come right after the “Fracture” live event, which will conclude the third chapter.
At the moment, there aren’t many details regarding the map. However, considering that every Fortnite map has been named after a character from Greek mythology (Athena, Apollo, and Artemis), we expect the next one to follow suit.
Besides the new map, Epic Games will release new gameplay mechanics to the video game. Chapter 2 added fishing, accolades, teammate carrying, and many other new mechanics, while Chapter 3 was mostly focused on movement mechanics, such as mantling and sprinting.
Both Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 lasted for two years, yet the third chapter hasn’t been out for even a year. Due to this, there is a chance that Epic Games will have a two-day downtime for Chapter 4.
At the moment, the next Fortnite live event is scheduled for Saturday, December 3. This means that Fortnite Chapter 4 would come out on Sunday. However, the downtime could be much longer.
Chapter 3 was released on December 5, and Epic Games may decide to release Chapter 4 on its anniversary. Furthermore, the first Chapter 4 leak claimed that the new chapter would be released in December 2022. This same leak also claimed that the downtime would last for two days.
Releasing Chapter 4 makes a lot of sense since Epic will also release Creative 2.0. Unfortunately, the new Creative update was postponed to January 2023. It was originally scheduled to be released with the new season, but it appears that it’s not quite ready yet.
