Epic Games has been working on a new Fortnite Battle Royale feature for at least a few months. This feature will bring a first-person mode to the video game, which will make the game look different.
However, Epic has updated this feature with the release of the v23.30 update on Tuesday, January 31. The video game developer has adjusted several weapons from the first-person view, which may indicate that the feature is in the final stages of development.
Fortunately, Fortnite players are able to test the upcoming feature out before its official release. There is a simple trick players can do to enable a first-person mode in the popular video game and this article will explain how to do it.
Enable first-person mode in Fortnite Chapter 4
Thanks to the latest Fortnite update, players are now able to turn on the first-person mode. However, the mode cannot be enabled from in-game settings and requires a simple workaround.
Unfortunately, the early version of the first-person mode is only available to Fortnite: Save the World players. If you already own the game, you’re in luck. If you don’t own it, you can purchase it, but we don’t suggest that you do it only for this trick.
To enable the first-person mode in Fortnite Battle Royale, you will first have to switch to the PvE mode. After that, follow the steps below:
- Open in-game settings
- Switch to game options (second tab)
- Turn First-Person Camera on
- Leave Fortnite: Save the World
After you leave Save the World, you should select your preferred Fortnite Battle Royale mode. We suggest that you select a Zero Build mode since it’s much easier to use the first-person mode in it.
It’s important to note that the first-person mode is not fully developed, which is why you will encounter many glitches while using it. Due to this, you should only use it to see what the early version of the new feature looks like.
Additionally, Epic Games hasn’t enabled the new feature for every single weapon in the game. Fortunately, you can use some of the most popular weapons, such as SCAR, Dual Pistols, Grenade Launcher, and more.
