Fortnite Nerfed Fan-Favorite Emote With Latest Update

Fortnite nerfed a fan-favorite emote with the latest update. The update has brought a lot of new content to the game. However, Epic Games has released several subtle changes.

One of these changes includes a nerf to The Dip emote, which has been one of the most popular emotes in the video game. Unfortunately, many players used the emote to gain a competitive advantage, which is why it’s been nerfed.

This article will reveal everything you need to know about the latest Fortnite nerf and how it affects the emote.

Fortnite nerfed The Dip emote

The Dip is an Icon Series emote that looks amazing. It’s a simple emote that makes characters fall to the ground for a second, which is why so many players find it hilarious.

Due to the unique animation of the emote, many Fortnite players began to use it to gain a competitive advantage over their enemies. Unfortunately, this is no longer possible due to the latest Fortnite nerf.

As many Fortnite players are aware, the unique emote was available for free from the Item Shop. This is one of the main reasons why it’s become so popular in such a short period of time.

Unfortunately, The Dip was last seen in the shop on September 16, in the final days of Chapter 3 – Season 3. It was released during the Rainbow Royale event and may not return to the game ever again.

With the latest update, Epic Games has made The Dip emote much slower. More specifically, the falling animation is slower, which means that it’s much harder to use the emote to get an elimination after the Fortnite nerf.

Before the nerf, players would quickly collapse to the floor when using the emote. They would then cancel the animation and surprise their enemies by hitting them with a shotgun.

After the Fortnite nerf, enemies have more time to react to the animation and can easily eliminate players who use the emote. Furthermore, a lot of players are familiar with The Dip emote now, which makes it harder to surprise someone with it.

Free Fortnite reward

Before the v22.10 update was released, Epic Games took Fortnite servers down for around 12 hours. This was not intended to happen and the game developer decided to do it because of an issue.

Fortunately, servers were fixed shortly after the update came out and players were able to get back into the game.

As an apology for the extended downtime, Epic Games rewarded all Fortnite Battle Royale players with a free reward. This reward is the Sweat-Free wrap, which can be claimed by simply logging into the game after the v22.10 update.

If you thought this downtime was bad, wait for the next season. According to rumors, the downtime for Chapter 3 – Season 5 will last for two days!
