Epic Games released the Maceberry Mauler pickaxe to the Fortnite Item Shop on Friday, August 12. The pickaxe looks very nice and interesting, however, it has a huge problem.
As many Fortnite players are aware, it is possible to use pickaxes right after sprinting. Unlike weapons, which have a short delay, harvesting tools can be used immediately. Unfortunately, this is not the case with Maceberry Mauler, and players are hoping that Epic Games fixes it soon.
Maceberry Mauler pickaxe is broken
When players use the Maceberry Mauler pickaxe right after sprinting, the first hit will not do anything. It will deal no damage, which can put players in a bad situation. While this delay will not cause a fatal issue in most of the situations, it could cause a lot of problems, which is why players need to be aware of this glitch.
This is the first whip harvesting tool in Fortnite Battle Royale, which could be the reason for the glitch. After all, it uses different animations than other pickaxes that are available in the game, so chances are that Epic simply hasn’t paid attention to this problem.
Fortunately, the popular YouTuber GKI posted a video about this issue. The YouTube channel is frequently visited by Epic Games, which is why we can expect the fix to be released soon.

The Maceberry Mauler pickaxe can be purchased from the Item Shop for 800 V-Bucks. It’s a Rare harvesting tool that comes in two different styles and looks really fancy.
Additionally, players can purchase the Jam Junction bundle for 1,700 V-Bucks. The bundle includes the pickaxe, as well as several other items:

The bundle was first released on August 12 and will most likely stay in the Item Shop for a few more days.
