How To Play Fortnite on iPhone and iPad in 2022

Fortnite Battle Royale is available on iPhones and iPads in 2022. Despite its ban from the App Store, iOS users can still play the popular video game on their devices.

Until 2022, iPhone and iPad users had no way of playing the popular battle royale video game. Those who had the game installed were stuck in Chapter 3 – Season 3, which wasn’t ideal. Fortunately, playing Fortnite on iPhone is possible thanks to Nvidia GeForce Now.

This article will explain everything you need to know about playing Fortnite on iOS devices and how to set it up.

Play Fortnite on iPhone or iPad easily

Playing Fortnite on iPhone or iPad requires no download, which has its advantages. By not having to install the video game on their devices, players can use the extra storage for their other content, such as photos and videos.

In Chapter 3 – Season 4, players can use Nvidia GeForce Now to play Fortnite on iOS devices. This is a free cloud gaming service that allows players to enter the battlefield once again and earn victory royales. In this article, we’ve prepared both a video and text guide for Fortnite on iPhone and iPad in 2022.

To play the battle royale video game on iOS devices, you will have to sign up for Nvidia’s GeForce Now service. You can do so by following these steps:

  • Open the official GeForce Now website
  • Sign up for a free account
  • Add GeForce Now to Home Screen
  • Launch the Home Screen app
  • Search or browse for Fortnite
  • Launch the game

Creating a GeForce Now account is free. However, Nvidia offers its user two paid membership tiers as well. The free plan comes with limitations, and while users can play Fortnite on iPhone and iPad, they are limited to one-hour sessions and a standard rig.

The Priority membership tier costs $9.99 a month and it allows players to spend up to six hours playing video games through the cloud gaming service. It also includes a premium rig with RTX and a 1080p resolution with 60 frames per second.

The most expensive plan, which is called RTX 3080, costs $19.99 a month. It includes an RTX 3080 rig that supports 4K gaming with 120 frames per second. Furthermore, playing Fortnite on iPhone and iPad is possible on up to 120 frames per second on this plan.

The free plan comes with a one-hour session limit, but players can simply bypass it by restarting the service. Unfortunately, free members are also limited by the queue and have to wait to get into the game.

Another big benefit of paid plans is the priority that paid members receive, meaning that they don’t have to wait in the queue.

Will Fortnite be back in the App Store?

Fortnite Battle Royale has been banned from Apple’s App Store and will not return to it anytime soon. The Epic v. Apple trial did not go well for the video game developer, which is why the popular video game will remain banned from the App Store.

The game has been banned from the App Store for five years after the trial. This means that, if Epic and Apple reach a deal, it could return to the store sometime around 2025.

Until then, Fortnite on iPhone and iPad will be available through GeForce Now. The cloud gaming service is free and players can even use mobile controls on it, as well as video game controllers.
