Epic Games has officially rolled out Fortnite Chapter 4 and alongside it is a brand-new trailer that shows what to expect from the battle royale shooter’s latest content. There is a part of the clip that piqued the interest of players as it may well seem to suggest that the game could be introducing a first-person mode during this chapter.
First-person perspective in games puts players on another level of realism as it allows them to see through the eyes of the character they play. Fortnite, on the other hand, is on a third-person perspective since its conception in 2017 and has maintained a solid following ever since.
Its community has been clamoring for Epic Games to add such a feature in Fortnite Battle Royale. Will it finally happen in this chapter?
Fortnite Chapter 4 first-person tease
The aforementioned Fortnite trailer in question featured a part where the Doom Slayer skin did a so-called Mini Slayer Fist Bump. It went on a first-person view before reverting to the default perspective.
The clip was uploaded online prior to the Fortnite servers going live with the update. This created quite the buzz among the battle royale shooter’s playerbase as they can’t wait to play Chapter 4.
However, some players were a bit disappointed that no first-person mode was added to the game. Some players even tried to do the emote, but to no avail.
Epic testing the waters?
Fortnite players need not fret since Epic could just be testing the waters to see how their player base would react to what they’ve just seen in the video. The said segment of the clip is one of the topics among players as of late.
To that end, players will just have to wait and keep their fingers crossed that such a feature will soon come to fruition in the game.
Prior to Fortnite Chapter 4’s launch, several data miners claimed that a first-person mode will be included in the new update together with a plethora of new features.
There were even players’ concepts about such a playing perspective that went viral. This resulted in some players starting online petitions for Epic Games to heed the call and add the feature.
