The next Fortnite update will be released on Tuesday, October 25. This will be a content update that will add a couple of new things to the popular video game.
Content updates usually do not require players to update their clients. All of the data that’s required for a content update is added with a major update. The latest major update was the v22.20 update, which was released on Tuesday, October 18.

Next Fortnite update will bring back planes
Planes were first added to Fortnite with the release of Chapter 1 – Season 7. In their early days, they were very controversial as a lot of players complained about their damage.
Epic Games vaulted them with the release of Season 8, but they were briefly unvaulted for the Winterfest 2020 event. It appears that they will return with the next Fortnite update and will be in the game for at least a week.
Fortnite leakers found a challenge that requires players to go through a rift with a plane. Due to this, we expect the flying vehicles to be unvaulted with the v22.20 content update on Tuesday.
Aside from planes, there is a good chance that Epic Games will unvault the Witch Broom as well. This Mythic item was first added to the game during the Fortnitemares 2020 event. Due to its popularity, Epic unvaulted it last year as well, which is why almost everyone believed the broom would return with the Fortnitemares 2022 as well.
Unfortunately, the Mythic item hasn’t been unvaulted during the Halloween event yet. HYPEX, the most popular Fortnite leaker, believes that it could return with the upcoming update on October 25. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.
In addition to planes and the Mythic item, Epic Games will most likely release a few more map changes. We expect Chrome to keep spreading and taking over more landmarks and named locations.
Considering that this is a content update, it will probably be released around 8 AM Eastern Time. If everything goes smoothly, the update will require no download and players will receive the new content as soon as they log in to the game.
