Epic Games has released many free cosmetic items into Fortnite Battle Royale over the past few months. Some of these items are still available, including one exclusive skin.
During the summer of 2022, the Fortnite developer released the Xander skin, making it available to everyone. However, this skin is part of the Refer-A-Friend program and will expire soon.
In fact, the skin expires on Tuesday, January 10, meaning that you only have two more days to obtain it. This article will explain how to do it.
NOTE: You can only obtain the skin if you’ve already enrolled in the Refer-A-Friend program. If you haven’t done it, you won’t be able to send out new invites.

To obtain the free Fortnite skin, you will have to complete a couple of challenges in the Refer-A-Friend program.
Xander is a great-looking skin that comes in two different styles. Besides the skin, you can obtain Xander’s back bling, pickaxe, wrap, and spray. All of these rewards are available through the special program.
Here is how to get the free Fortnite skin:
- Visit the Refer-A-Friend website
- Check your quest progress
- Complete in-game tasks with your referred friend
- Unlock all the rewards
